Vision & Innovation
Wow! Momo is one of India’s fastest-growing quick-service restaurant (QSR) brands, famed for transforming a beloved snack — the momo — into a nationwide culinary phenomenon. Founded in 2008 in Kolkata, India, by college classmates Sagar J. Daryani and Binod K. Homagai, the brand began with a modest kiosk and a bold vision: to create an unforgettable food experience that leaves every customer saying “Wow!”
From humble beginnings with a 6’×6’ kiosk and an initial ₹30,000 investment, Wow! Momo’s approach combined passion, quality, and creativity. By offering a wide variety of momos — including steamed, fried, pan-fried, and uniquely reinvented formats such as MoBurgs (momo burgers) and momo-based desserts — the brand redefined how India enjoys this popular dumpling.

Growth & Expansion
Today the company has expanded far beyond its first outlet. The brand now operates hundreds of outlets across dozens of cities in India, with a network continuing to grow aggressively through both company-operated stores and strategic expansion plans. Industry reports note that Wow! Momo crossed 850+ stores in over 95 cities during the financial year 2025-26 — adding about 200 new outlets in that year alone.
Wow! Momo has also diversified into multiple related brands, including Wow! China, Wow! Chicken, and Wow! Kulfi, broadening its footprint in the fast-casual dining segment while introducing localized Indian- and Asian-inspired menu innovations.
